This page describes, as precisely as we can, what actually happens to your data when you use Anoniza.

The anonymization workflows — pasted text, uploaded PDFs, and uploaded images — are designed to process your content locally in your browser. PII detection, OCR, and redaction all run on your device. Anoniza does not intentionally transmit the contents of what you paste or upload to any remote anonymization server, because there isn't one: there is no backend that receives your documents.

Application telemetry

Anoniza does not currently include any analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking of any kind. We're stating this plainly because it's true today — not as a permanent promise about every future version.

Cookies and browser storage

Anoniza does not set cookies and does not use localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB to store your content. Uploaded files, extracted text, and protected results exist only in memory while the page is open and are gone when you close or navigate away from the tab.

Server logs

Whoever hosts this website may record standard web server access information — such as IP address, browser type, and which page was requested — the same way essentially any website's hosting infrastructure does. That is normal web infrastructure logging, not something Anoniza adds, and it never includes the contents of what you paste or upload, since that content never leaves your browser as part of loading the page.

Third-party services

Anoniza does not send your documents to any third-party AI, OCR, or analytics service. The PDF and OCR engines it uses run entirely inside your browser, with all required files loaded from this site — not from a third-party CDN.
